Just In: THE ART OF CLASSIC CRIME AND MYSTERY MOVIES

The latest coffee-table book from Mister Murania himself, Ed Hulse, has just arrived in the form of a dozen advance author’s copies. Like his previous books for the same packagers—The Art of the Pulps, The Art of Pulp Fiction, and The Art of Classic Western Movie Posters—it’s a deluxe coffee-table tome printed in full color on thick, glossy stock. In close to 800 illustrations (posters, lobby cards, and still photos) it chronicles the history of criminous motion pictures from the nickelodeon days to the 1970s. There are 12 chapters, each covering a different theme and/or period, and each beginning with an essay by yours truly, who also covers sub-topics in various narrowly targeted sidebars. The poster repros are absolutely beautiful, with colors that pop off the page!

I only have a dozen signed copies to sell (for now, anyway) and am offering them to this site’s shoppers for just $45.00 (plus $5 for shipping), which is 25 percent off the publisher’s list price. The book doesn’t officially “drop” until May 28th, so order now and be the first on your block to get a copy!
