ALL WESTERN, December 1933
Along with Popular Publications’ Dime Western, this underrated Dell pulp edited by Carson Mowre rehabilitated the humble but clichéd horse opera, which had fallen into disrepute by virtue of constant repetition of overused tropes. As you can see by the authors mentioned on the front cover’s bottom banner, All Western in this period survived the Depression by featuring innovative yarns by top-notchers. Cover by R. Farrington Elwell. Condition: Very Fine Minus. There’s some minor creasing along the extra-long front-cover overhang (see scan), otherwise this is a tight, clean copy with off-white text block.
