ACE-HIGH WESTERN, February 1937
Early issue from the Popular Publications incarnation of this long-running title, started in 1923 by Clayton and briefly published by Dell in the mid ’30s before being sold to Popular in 1936. With yarns by all of Popular’s best Western authors at that time. Cover by the great Tom Lovell. Condition: Very Good Plus to Near Fine. Some small, shallow chips to front-cover edges (see scan), otherwise a pretty sharp copy. Spine is missing a small (one-eighth of an inch) chip at heel. Text block is lightly yellowed and a darker “halo” around the page edges. But the pages are supple with no chips, tears, or flaking. Overall a solid copy.
