AVON SCIENCE FICTION READER, complete set

Launched in 1951 to take advantage of the success of the Avon Fantasy Reader series of digest-sized anthologies, Avon Science Fiction Reader lasted only three issues. The fault certainly did not lay with editor Donald A. Wollheim, who picked fine stories to reprint from SF pulps (and, occasionally, from Weird Tales as well). It was a good series, underappreciated by today’s fans and collectors. Condition: overall Fine to Fine Plus, nice and clean with yellowed but supple text blocks.
