WESTERN SHORT STORIES, September 1940

Western pulp published by Martin Goodman’s Manvis Publications, one of his “Red Circle” group of magazines. Goodman, of course, was the founder of what today is the Marvel Comics empire. Cover by J. W. Scott, who painted most of the Red Circle covers during this period. Stories by reliable but hardly noteworthy second- and third-raters.

Condition: Near Fine. No major defects, just generally handling and light edge wear. Yellowed but supple text block. Initials “Mc” partially erased from cover. Overall a sharp copy for those who might need an upgrade.
