UNKNOWN, Nov. and Dec. 1940 issues, L. Ron Hubbard’s “Typewriter in Sky”

This lot of two consecutive issues features some of Unknown‘s very best fiction. I’m selling them as one lot so you’ll get both installments of L. Ron Hubbard’s classic “Typewriter in the Sky,” arguably one of his top five novels. The December issue also contains Jack Williamson’s highly regarded werewolf novella, “Darker Than You Think,” which he later revised and expanded for publication in hard covers. And there are shorter pieces by such fantasy/SF top-notchers as Theodore Sturgeon, Henry Kuttner, and Nelson Bond.

Condition: The November issue is Very Good, with the usual edgewear and soiling to covers (especially the back cover). The spine has several vertical tears but no paper loss. The text block is lightly yellowed but supple. The December issue is About Fine, with some rubbing to the front cover’s left side (see scan) but no egregious defects.
