THRILLING WONDER STORIES, Spring 1944, Brackett

Great issue of the Thrilling Group’s flagship SF pulp, at this time entering its peak period. The high spot of this issue is the first appearance of Leigh Brackett’s well-regarded, oft-reprinted “Veil of Astellar.” Among the other stories is a Manly Wade Wellman thriller and one of Ray Cummings’ “Tubby” yarns. Good Girl cover by the inimitable Earle Bergey.

Condition: Fine, maybe Fine Plus. No major or specific flaws, just edge wear and a nick (but no paper loss) in the yellow part of the spine. Text block is off-white to very lightly yellowed. Overall a very solid copy.
