THE RETURN OF TARZAN, G&D edition, facs DJ

Edgar Rice Burroughs’ second Tarzan novel was reprinted by Grosset & Dunlap in 1927. This copy has the characteristics of a G&D first edition (red cloth, black stamping) but is a later printing—probably mid ’30s. However, it is an extraordinarily sharp copy: a true Fine with no defects of any kind. Apparently has been read but is still tight. It has a facsimile dust jacket (although the word “facsimile” doesn’t appear on it), which alone would cost you the price I’m asking for this book. Given the cost of the 1915 McClurg first edition, this is the next best option if you collect vintage ERB hardcovers. Note: Obviously the jacket is the same size as the book; the size discrepancy is due to my mistake when combining the images in Photoshop.
