SUPER SCIENCE NOVELS, May 1941

Early issue of this SF title published under the auspices of Popular Publications’ low-budget Fictioneers line. Edited by Frederik Pohl and usually filled with stories by his fellow Futurians, a New York-based chunk of fandom whose members included many of science fiction’s top names. This issue features a short story that marks the professional debut of Illinois-based fanzine publisher Bob Tucker, who later wrote novels in both the SF and Mystery genres. Condition: Fine. A few tiny chips on back cover’s lower edge; otherwise a clean, tight, glossy copy. Text block is off-white to very lightly yellowed and supple. Sharp copies of this title are increasingly scarce to rare.
