RIO KID WESTERN, bound volume of all 1943 issues
In his eponymous pulp published by the Thrilling Group, Bob Pryor and his aides frequently crossed trails with historical figures of the Old West, which gives his adventures more oomph than is normally found in the company’s other genre titles. This bound volume of all four 1943 issues (February through October) was prepared for use in the Thrilling offices. The covers are sturdy black buckram with gold stamping on the spine. There’s some minor blotching and a couple abrasions on the front board. The issues themselves, being uncirculated copies are tight and glossy. Their text blocks are lightly tanned but supple, but no torn or broken corners as if often the case with bound volumes. All four can be read easily with just a modicum of careful handling.
