ELLERY QUEEN’S MYSTERY MAGAZINE, July & September 1942

Two early issues of this noteworthy, highly collectable digest edited by Ellery Queen himself (or, rather, Fred Dannay, one-half of the EQ writing team). EQMM was well known for printing the best contemporary detective fiction alongside genre classics, so the magazine always served as a Who’s Who of the field’s top talents. In these two issues you’ll find stories by Dashiell Hammett, Agatha Christie, John Dickson Carr, Edgar Wallace, Antony Boucher, and G. K. Chesterton, to name just a few. Wartime issues of this long-running title are scarce. Condition: Very Good Plus. No specific or major flaws, just general handling wear and light soiling. Both issues have text blocks with bone white paper.
