AVON SCIENCE FICTION AND FANTASY READER, complete set, VF

We’re being a little silly with this listing’s title; there were only two issues in this short-lived 1953 Avon digest. But each contains new stories by some of the genre’s top names: Arthur C. Clarke, Jack Vance, John Jakes, and John Christopher among them. Both copies, which came from the same original-owner collection, are the nicest I’ve ever seen. The January 1953 has a tiny shallow chip out of the front-cover edge (see scan) but otherwise these are Very Fine copies with bone white paper. They look just as they would have if you’d plucked them off a newsstand 70 years ago when they were published. There might be others that are just as nice, but I guarantee you’ll never find any that are better. Quick, don’t miss your chance to buy the entire set in ultra-high grade!
