ACE-HIGH, second June 1927

This title began life as a Clayton pulp but later passed to Dell and ended up at Popular Publications. This issue from roughly halfway through the Clayton run boasts one of Charles W. Tyler’s popular “Baldy Sours” stories and yarns by such Western top-notchers as William Colt MacDonald, Homer King Gordon, Forbes Parkhill, Ralph Cummins, and Ray Nafziger. Cover by H. C. Murphy. Ace-High issues from the ’20s are increasingly scarce in any grade. Condition: Very Good Plus. Would grade higher but for fingernail-sized gouge (but no paper loss) in back cover. Text block is lightly yellowed but supple.
