WILD WEST STORIES AND COMPLETE NOVEL MAGAZINE, November 1930, movie tie-in

This generally scarce magazine occasionally cross-promoted with Hollywood by running novel-length adaptations of current movies. Writers accepting the job were given copies of the shooting scripts and told to use them as the basis for their stories. The November 1930 issue is particularly rare. It adapts The Lone Rider (1930 Columbia), the first “talkie” Western of beloved cowboy star Buck Jones. Condition: Aside from a small diagonal front-cover crease (see scan) and a couple dings to the spine and back cover, this is a Fine copy that’s clean and glossy with lightly yellowed but supple text block.
