MAMMOTH MYSTERY, June 1946, GGA cover

This Ziff-Davis pulp edited by future mystery-novel author and Hollywood scriptwriter Howard Browne was a better product than many other crime-fiction mags on the market at that time, although it rarely featured big names. This one is no different than most: entertaining but just short of noteworthy. But it sports a classic Good Girl Art cover by Arnold Kohn and, for reasons I’ve not been able to determine, is harder to find than most in the run. Condition: Very Good Plus. Front cover has some light fading along the top. Minor edge wear. Spine is complete but lightly faded. Back cover has a vertical crease  about an inch from the spine. Text block is lightly but evenly tanned and quite supple.
