Last Three Issues of Alan G. Barbour’s SERIAL QUARTERLY

This mid-Sixties chapbook—with covers printed on glossy card stock and interiors on high-quality bond paper—reprinted photos, poster art, and chapter synopses from vintage pressbooks of old cliffhanger serials.  In those pre-video days, when chapter plays rarely played on TV anymore, Serial Quarterly was not only entertaining but also valuable as a reference tool.  We have acquired a dealer’s unsold stock of the final three issues: Number Five (Jan-Mar 1967), Number Six (Apr-Jun ’67) and Number Seven (Jul-Sep ’67).  These are uncirculated copies in Very Fine to Near Mint condition, with bone-white pages.

Number Five covers G-Men vs the Black Dragon, The Secret Code, The Green Archer, and Deadwood Dick.  Number Six covers Buck Rogers, Congo Bill, Mysterious Island, Jungle Raiders, and the 1966 reissues of Batman and Captain Marvel.  Number Seven covers Adventures of Red Ryder, Jungle Queen, The Vigilante, and Holt of the Secret Service.
