GREAT DETECTIVE STORIES, March 1933, 1st issue, all-star author lineup

Inaugural issue of this short-lived reprint pulp, well edited but haphazardly packaged with dull covers. Terrific author lineup includes Edgar Wallace (with “The Yellow Snake,” lead novel), Sax Rohmer (with the first Severac Bablon story), Dorothy Sayers (with “The Man with Copper Fingers,” a Lord Peter Wimsey story), G. K. Chesterton, and others. Condition: a solid Very Good Plus, nice and clean with complete bright spine and minimal overhang wear to covers. Text block is tanned, slightly more so around the page edges. Overall a nice book. An uncommon issue.
