Allen J. Hubin, CRIME FICTION II: COMPREHENSIVE BIBLIOGRAPHY, 1749-1990

New York, Garland & Company, 1994. Two volumes. Imperial Octavo, hardcover in cloth, no jacket (as issued). Hubin’s massive labor of love extends to 1568 pages of tiny type (in three columns) cross-referencing mystery authors, books, and even films adapted from the books. It’s a work of staggering scope and complexity, with very few errors or omissions—something extremely rare in such ambitious projects of this type. Absolutely invaluable not only for researchers but also readers and collectors. Condition: About Fine. Both books have been referred to, but there’s only the barest hint of shelf wear. At my price they’re a bargain. Will sell only as a set.
